A day late sharing this but we ventured downtown for the Farmers Market Saturday morning. I was surprised there weren’t more vendors and I think the holiday weekend played a part in how easy it was to find a parking spot.

Beat the heat by seeing “F1”. Story was typical of Apple movies, really good production. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the rest of the crew, and wonder of wonders we didn’t get pulled over driving fast on the way home!!

Back at one of our favorite restaurants. We sat outside in spite of the heat but there was a nice enough breeze that helped. Stopped at Grand Ole Creamery for a butter pecan dish for dessert!

This is Mila, our grand kitty. She’s been visiting for a few days while her mommy is out of town and this chair under the dining room table is her favorite spot to stay above Archie. She is a great kitty who gives nuzzles all the time.

24 MN Highway Patrol cars just passed us headed westbound on Hwy 212 in SW Minneapolis. Did they catch the shooter?

Twins Game thanks to Matt

Heather went to Indianapolis today for some meetings with BCBS association. Matt called and wondered if I was free tonight, he had tickets for the Twins game (for work) and had brought Charlie down with him. Dan and I were able to go, it was Prince night (today is his birthday), we had fun but the Twinkies lost 16-4 to the Texas Rangers.

First cook on the new smoker. St Louis style ribs, 6+ hour cook.

I installed a Tempest weather station on my roof today. I think a man of a certain age needs to stop working on roofs. I further believe I’ve reached that age.

First night in Encinitas, CA. Socialized with Heather’s peers in the Healthcare business as they’re hosting us for 2 days. Beautiful sunset from Vaga Restaurant.

More travel this week. Heather is attending a round table put on by a vendor and guests were allowed to come along. We are staying the week even though the business meetings end tomorrow night.

Arrived in Sedona, AZ later than planned. We met up with the rest of the family for dinner, then check-in, then sleep. I was so exhausted.

We’ve been doing a little staycation this weekend and last nights dinner at “ie Italian Eatery” was SO good. Try the Mushroom Cappelletti, it was recommended by Nate, our server. Located in south Minneapolis on Cedar Avenue.

Yesterday’s temperature in the 70s° is a distant memory as the wind blows over 30mph and we’ve already hit today’s high in the low 40s°. Brunch at CōV in the Galleria.

First time at Matt’s for me. I’ve had a Jucy Lucy at the 5-8 Club but never here

Friday night pizza and a movie/show. Tradition in our family for the last 20-25 years

My daughter dropped her 2020 iPad Air and while the screen didn’t crack it was broken. First time for me attempting this repair but I’m happy to say it is fixed! $160 for a refurbished OEM screen. Another item off the bucket list.

Ran across this beauty in Venice Beach, FL yesterday. I had to look it up to get the backstory on the make.

My morning caffeine. For some reason caffeine from coffee makes me very jittery but from Celsius I’m just a little more alert.

I’ve been trying out some different apps and services this month because I’m trying to get better visibility into my goals. I currently use Things 3 and have for many years. I’ve tried Obsidian & Notion but am spending too much time tweaking. What do you use, and why do you like it?

OK, traveling again. Sunrise on our way to the airport, nice start to the day on my birthday.
